Detailed description of stainless steel brand
At present, there are hundreds of stainless steel grades in various countries. China's GB/T20878-2007 Stainless and Heat-resistant Steel Grades and Chemical Composition stipulates 143 grades, and the American ASME/ASTM stipulates nearly 200 grades. Due to the gradual revision of the standard, the stainless steel brand name is also gradually improved and unified.
There are two ways to express stainless steel grades in China. The first is according to the provisions of Article 3.11 of GB/T221-2008 Methods for Marking Steel Product Grades. The grades are expressed by chemical element symbols and Arabic numerals representing each element, and the best control value of carbon content is expressed by two or three Arabic numerals (in parts per 10000 or parts per 100000), The content of alloy elements is indicated by the chemical element symbol and the Arabic numerals (in percentage) representing the average content of the element. When the content of alloy elements is less than 1.5%, only the elements are indicated in the grade. The elements such as niobium, titanium, zirconium and nitrogen intentionally added in the steel, although the content is very low, should also be indicated in the grade.
